Kozzmozz is the mothership off al K-Events. The first edition was held on September 23rd 1995 on the Josef K boat in the harbor of Ghent. It was more a party for friends than a public party aimed at promoting the better Belgian techno dj’s. The response however was so overwhelming that more editions had to be planned. During the following two years, Kozzmozz brought a lot of foreign techno-artists to Belgium for the first time: Secret Cinema, Metrodade, Rejuvination, Adam Beyer... After two years the crowd became too big for the boat to handle and Kozzmozz moved, first to the International Congress Centre (ICC)in Ghent, later to concert-hall in Vooruit, to finally land in Kuipke, a big velodrome with several extra rooms.
With the move to bigger venues, also the line-up was largely extended. At first with serious techno-artists both with well-known names and lots of innovative, underground dj’s. Kozzmozz started with a tech-house room for those who liked a bit more funky sounds ( which are now the PEEP events ). Kozzmozz was also one of the first organizations to launch an electro-room, long before it was a hype ( now to be found in concepts as BEATS OF LOVE ), as well as a full-blown drum and bass room ( now STAR WARZ).
2002 was the start of a new era as Kozzmozz left ’t Kuipke for good and found a new haven in Vooruit, one of Belgium’s best concert-halls and party locations. Kozzmozz always brings innovating music and therefore stayed the hottest not to be missed Techno event in Belgium. Next to the best techno around, the public is also treated to the best light -and sound installations and impressive lasers and decorations to enhance the party-pleasure.
